I finally picked up an multimeter so I can continue on this project. Right now I have only the video +5v, ground and video connected.

It seems like my battery pack is only pushing about 4.97-4.98v I'm assuming thats ok. If I hook the multimeter to my positive and negative solder points I am ...

hey everyone, long time no post for me (been home for the thanksgiving). anyways, I've been helping minkster for a while now on his nesp. A couple weeks ago he asked me if I would take a look at it, but unfortunately it didn't get here until after I had left for home. without further rambling from ...

Tomato Juice. Soak it overnight. It really eats away gunk and leavs your connectors pinkish! :P
Lemon juice will do the same thing but not leave as much residue.
Both work because of their acidic qualities.

Those are two great tips, maybe I could start running my nintendo with the cover back on ...

Hey, if you think it might still be good, besides the solder traces, would you sell it? It might be possible to fix the traces. So as long as you didn't connect the 20V to it, it might still be fixable.

Thanks for the cold heat warning. Makes me really apreciate my weller iron! :)

I'm pretty ...

Just a FYI,

After looking over my connections with a microscope, I'm pretty sure I destroyed them when I was desoldering.

I'm going to purchase a new NOAC and try again.

Also, I just bought a Cold Heat soldering iron and all I have to say is STAY AWAY FROM IT!

I realized that was what I am doing wrong. So i'm desoldering all the stock wire from the SJIII and rewireing it. I'm pretty confident after I ground the AC Adapter all should be well.

Ok here goes:

Make shure you have 5v going to the first pin, as you do. Then connect video to the center tap of a RCA plug, ground to the outside. Then connect the next pin to the audio (the same style as how you did video) Then the 4th pin is ground. connect the negative side of the battery here ...

I changed it a little but it still don't work.

I connected the Position 1 - 5v to the AC adapter port that came on the SuperJoyIII

I left Position 2 - Video connected to the Video component port that was on the SuperJoyIII

I connected Position 3 -Sound to the Audio pport that was on the ...

Again I didn't solder the Position 1 - 5v and Position 4 - ground to the battery I just held it to the Positive and Negative positions on the battery (respectivley).

I'm pretty sure its the right positions on the battery because I used the back of the SuperJoyIII controler as a guide.

Should I not ...

NOAC wont start

Ok heres what I did so far.

I gutted the NOAC out from inside a SuperJoyIII (the kind that comes with pre-loaded games). I desoldered the remote the comes with it and also the 60 pin famicom connector. I was going to solder on my 72 pin connecter from my NES but after taking my NES apart and seeing ...

You helped A LOT!

I found this site while google'ing trying to figure out the pinout between the famicom and the NES.

I just ripped my super joy 3 apart and found the controler's board is different then the one in your guide. It's sleeker and is dated 9/25/03 (it actually says 2003-9-25). Also ...

This is GREAT if it is what I think it is. I have the same NOAC Ben has (the second time) for his first NESp. The one with the games pre-loaded. Does this pinout work for that board?

If so, does it also give the proper pin the 5v charge it needs to disable the pre-loaded games (like Ben says to do ...
