Parts 1 and 2 are now live on Engadget.com. Check them out!
There will be at least one more part, possibly up to 4. Also I should have an update on the VCSp Rev 5.1’s soon.

Hey, on part 1 of the tutorial, you leave a link to digikey for a male header. When i click it it shows a expired set. What’s the part number for the male head required for your tutorial?
Other than that, awesome work!!! I really cannot wait for part 3 to come out.
Yeah! Can’t wait for the 3rd part!
Makes me want to try and make my own ๐
Dude you are such a genious, how much did this cost you to make?
Im attempting to make my original xbox into a laptop computer and i am running into problems on the av connection to the monitor. i am using an old apple laptop monitor i got for free to save money and i dont know how to connect it onto the xbox av output port. I was wondering if anyone had any kind of pin out that would point out witch contact points on the xbox av output i had to use.

Is there a way to pay you for creating the XBOX 360 Laptop? It looks really cool and I would love to have one. Is it possible for you to create the laptop shell and I can insert the XBOX with a walkthrough if that is more feasible?
can i pay you to make the white xbox laptop for me
About how much was the estimated cost of this project? I was planning on fixing a Red Ring of Death Xbox360 and using that for this, so I was wondering what It would cost for the other parts involved.
Hey nice job Ben, i am doing the same thing but when is part three coming out?
Was wondering if I could get some wiring directions? If so, email is bray06@live.com… Thanks
I must be honest. After reading the entire article on that 360 laptop of yours, I sat here for like ten minuets staring at the photos and reeking of jealousy. Haha.
I’m VERY impressed with your work man.
I may embark on a journey like this someday,
provided I can actually manage the patience…

To answer Jericho, he says he charges a LOT (I think it was $5000, iirc?) and with all 360s you can save games on the Hard Drive as of the New Xbox Experience update. ๐

Wow still no 3rd part what’s going on with this. PS your first attempt was with water cooling why not use it in the newer versions of the xbox laptop?
Wow, people keep asking in the comments where part 3 is and I found it in less than 2 minutes. Was I the only one who thought of clicking Ben’s name on http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/25/how-to-make-an-xbox-360-laptop-part-2/ to get to the list of articles he has made and click part 3 (or in the url just change the 2 to a 3) to get to this http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/22/how-to-make-an-xbox-360-laptop-part-3/ ? Anyways, Ben, you are amazing. I am only 13, though I have always had an interest in these kinds of things. I recently found out about you and was amazed, And that’s when I thought all you made was the Wii laptop, the first creation of yours I saw. You have inspired me and I hope I will be able to do something like this ๐
There is a 3rd part, just Google Xbox laptop part 3. I am wondering how to make a case for this.
