To
really, truly test a portable game device you have to take it into a
cave and attempt play it in there. Many systems, such as Mattel
Football, the Atari Lynx, the Game Gear, the Turbo Xpress, the Sega
Nomad and the VCSp have produced considerable results, but, for the last
13 years, the Gameboy has failed miserably in this category, often
causing the intrepid game reviews to stumble around in complete darkness
and fall into bottomless chasms.
Now,
all that has changed! With
my wounds healed I ventured forth once again! I took a VCSp Rev 6 and a
Gameboy Advance SP into a cave to see how they did! Here are the
results:

As
you can see, both systems are now excellent choices for in-cave play,
albeit with some side effects.
Lastly,
