Yeah I saw that too. It's a pretty good idea, and it looks really easy to do. I may make one if I can find a cheap remote. We should make a race or something, first one on the forums to make one is the winnah!

Everywhere.

Anywho, I think it would be cooler to make a TV Remote into an NES controller.

Something I'd do to improve this mod is take a universal remote that has the "learning" feature (you point them together and hit the buttons to get the code). That way, you wouldn't have to open the remote and move wires around whenever you wanted to change the buttons, plus it could have different modes (TV, VCR, etc…) selected by switches in the back or something.

Mine is sorta like that. It has a programming guidebook. You press certian buttons for the activation code, and then the remote works specifically for that kind of thing. Then you either press the Tv, VCR, DVD, or other button to select which remote you are using.

Well, though this has no channel numeral buttons, it looks nice...though one could always hack the Power Pad as well if they HAD to have the numbers. ^^

That or just hack an Inty controller instead. Doing an inty remote mod might be quite easy. It has the buttons already, and is the same general shape as a remote. Longer than it is wide.
Warranty-Voiding fun!
