SNES log and questions

Post by neverused »

I have just started my SNES project and I have a couple quick questions:

I'll have more pics as I get this thing together.

Which points do I solder together once I have removed the reset and power switches from an FC Twin board? I have a photo below, but I want to be sure which places to connect.

Also I saw that grahf cut down the power board quite a bit, like the photo below. If I'm using a 3" Pustom screen, can I do something similar? I think I can tell where he cut and I made a mock up below gahf's photo, but I want to be sure before I start cutting.

My guess:

Also, if anyone knows of a simple way to build a tiny stereo amp for a headphone jack, that would be great too.

Thanks!

For the power, try connecting the 2 leads on the right.

Cutting the power board doesnt have anything to do with the type of screen you use. To answer your question, yes.

And for the picture, it looks good but you can cut the bottom a little more:

For the audio amp, use a LM386

What does that board do?

In any case, I think for power you have to bridge the four holes on the right. Reset just leave it, unless you want to add a reset button.

Is this a mini-SNES, Retro Duo, or something else?

Its the power/ av board. I assume theres a regulator of some sort on there.

Bridging all 4 would be a waste of solder, either the top two or bottom two will be fine.

Its an FC twin
