SNESp hand build question

i was wondering if anyone has a better wiring diagram than the one in the book of the left and right pc boards...i have completed my whole portable but when i solder in the controller(handmade) leads my snes gets no power and the 7805 on the psone screen for the snes gets extremely hot extremely fast...i undid each controller wire singly until i found out that it was the #2 wire...if someone has some help it would greatly be appreciated
