Show us pics of your project progress, it will be interesting to see improvements you make with this version!

Are you including the Z button, Dpad and left and right shoulder buttons?

As always, depends on the games you like to play. Games like Mario Party need all the keys, and I have no option but to put in a D-pad anyway as my project is going to finish up being N64/GBA dual system.

As always, up to you what you do with your project, it is your system, you use it and you pay for it, so your choices! (please update us with your project development, with pics - interested to see what you get up to).

I would give pics, but, I'm going to do a speed run. I may just break a record. An N64p in 2 days

Ok, sounds like re-using the N64 original case then rather than making an original case design. Not an issue, it is quite comfortable; hope you are mounting the buttons on the case itself and not extending the console further with half-cut controller case pertruding!

I must admit, if I wasn't spending a mountain of time cataloging all my updates on the forum, I could do the whole N64 mod in two long days. My project to date would take about 30 mins to remove the mobo from the N64, dremel off the controller ports, wire up the power, put in heatsinks, strip apart the PSone screen; 3.5 hours to wire the controller, solder the connectors and relocate the cart slot; 15 mins to complete its assembly to the N64 board - total about 4 hours 45 mins working continuously. Using the original N64 case saves time; lots more work I know, but yes, 2 days start to end is quite possible - 1.5 days is also quite possible. I am however taking my time, enjoying the experience, and spending probably 3 times longer doing my blog and looking at forum topics than working on the project! My time is limited on most days for working on the project, and I need lots of thinking time before working on the mod - however once I do it, I can quickly replicate it if I need to.

I got nothing done yesterday, and a lot today. I got quite a few problems, and I'm really tired.

I will finish tomorrow

Taking more than 2 days then, mate!

Anyway, better to take your time and make a quality product, rather than a rush-job.

Take your time; impress us with the result!

Make it beautiful, not ugly.

As it isn't a "speed run" anymore, how about some pics?
