Suggestions for a LapTop
I need e very good LapTop, with a very good processor (extremely fast, like 3.4 GB), RAM of 1 or 2 GB, Video Card of 256 MB (or 128 MINIMUM), and at least a 80 GB HD, that's because I need it for school to do 3D and animation, also programming (software and VideoGames), so that's why I need a very powerful one.
I'll also use it for running games, and multimedia applications.
So.... anyone knows where can I get one at a decent price?
Thanks in advance.

I'm all alone, dealing with my broken heart. Why I have feelings if they feel so bad. All seems so dark, will I ever see light?

Well those prices are actually GREAT!!!, I put the characteristics I said before on dell.com and it was like $6000, so that really nice.
Also about a ComputerP, well it is for school, so it would be kinda bulky and not nice really for having in class, that's why I asked for a LapTop, and also a ComputerP would be expensive.
Thanks again, and if there are someones better than this ones tell me.

I need to do Programming on class, and we go only 1 day to the laboratory, the other days are on the classroom, also I want it to be powerfull because my computer (generic with P4) crashes when I try to do 3D with an OpenSource program of 3 MB, so that's why I need a Lap with all in one instead of buying a new PC and a medium Lap.
On other side, I looked at Falcon, and those prices are outrageous, so much for me, I am willing to spen up to $3000 or at least less than $4000.

The Arima W730 is a good unit. I've seen a barebones unit go for $950 or so. Fully loaded it'd run $1600 or so. There's a couple companies that resell it, but you get much better results building from scratch. I've seen resellers charge well over $2000 for one that's fully loaded. It takes a mobile Athlon 64, has a 128mb Radeon Mobility 9700, and a pretty nice 15" widescreen display. Its not hideously massive either.

Those arimas are ok(hell voodoo uses them for thier top of the line envy's), but they have their problems. I have the older version with the 64md mobility 9600(emachines rebrand) and it has some issues with the hinges cracking even if you dont open and close the lappy much. i had to get mine replaced twice. other than that it was a pretty powerful laptop. Oh yeah and by the way dont be fooled by the mobility 9700, its not a mobile 9700 like youd think its really a speedbumped 9600. if you really want top level graphincs look for a mobility 9800 or x800Anonymous wrote:The Arima W730 is a good unit.
