Next question, how can I hook up the on/off switch to the battery and everything else (snes, tv)?

here is a diagram of how you should do it

that is if your screen takes 7.2 volts and you are using a 7.2 volt battery

there is a 7805 on the snes board you can input the power to

Okay, that makes sense. More questions:

I'm using the psone lcd screen. That is 7.2v yes?

I see where the snes is connected to and the lcd makes sense as well. However, on the diagram, the positive of the battery...where does that go to?

Finally, the switch should be connected as explained in the book? Or should it be connected in any other special way? For now, i'm just gonna run the system off of the battery. Once thats working, then I'll impliment the ac adapter switch into the system.

that break in the positive part of the battery is were the switch goes

Ah, okay! I'm looking at the switch right now:

One side has the letter "a" and the other has "2E". No '+' or '-'...how can I tell which is which?

Do the other 5 prongs on the switch connect somewhere? If so, where to?

it doesnt matter a switch is a switch all it is is metal that slides to open and close a circuit

it switches them like this:

or this if you switch it the other way:

the " - " shows a connection

It doesn't matter which side of the switch is + or -, just listen to daguuy. Remember to wire one row (this is if you're holding it as a 3x2) as + and the other as -, that way you won't have any shorts or explosions.

Alrighty then! For the regulator, I don't have the heat sink as described in the book...can I use any other heat sink (temporarily until i have the one suggested)?

Also, the positive and negative on the screen...can I get a picture of that? or will I find it in the book too?

Nevermind those previous questions...I'm almost there!!! I have power going to the lcd screen w/o modifying the psone lcd

however, i'm not getting the snes to start up. I KNOW something is not connected to it but I'm not sure WHAT to connect.

Here is my question: on the snes board, i have it connected to the regulator like so---

Where the arrow is pointing to, nothing else is connected to it. If I'm not mistaken, there should be another wire going from here somewhere else (most likely the switch). If I am right, do I connect it to the positive end of the switch? or negative? if I am wrong, how do i get power to the snes? PLEASE use pictures and don't just put "connect it to positive" because I don't know what is positive or negative on the board. THanks!!!

did that...nothing...just the monitor turns on.

I checked the cart and nothing still...any other ideas???

Connect power to screen.
Take wire from the right(as in direction) 7805 out on the back of the PSone LCD to the SNES 7805 out hole.
Connect negative jack to ground on sceen.
Connect ground on screen to negative lead on DPDT switch.

That should work if it doesn't I'll tell you the quarks I needed to make mine work(eventhough my sound was fried by that time

) and it should run fine.

I have power going to pin1 (slot 1) and pin 2 is grounded on the snes.

I think its because of the controllers...how do i connect the original snes wires to the board? What colors go where?
