I guess I'm the odd midwesterner, because I've always called it "soda" despite the fact that I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life.

Coca Cola Classic is the only way to go for me. Accept no substitute.

Interesting that some people call all colas "Coke" in some parts of the country. I never knew that. Calling Pepsi "Coke" sounds like sacrilege to me though.

Holy crap other people know about suicide. I thought a place by my house was the only one that did that. No other store ever new or served suicides.

I also remember Jolt. It didn't have the best flavor but it would be the best drink to keep you up all night.... well except coffee. Kind of a shame the only places I can find Jolt are online.

Holy moly i remember suicides! At camp, you could buy slushies, and they could combine all of them for you and make a suicide. It was awesome.

Remember Surge? They've re-released it under the new name "Vault". There's something to keep you up all week.

I thought they were called Graveyards. Different names from different states.

There is a little creeme and grill shop near my house. They make their own Birch Beer, and it's wicked good. It's stronger flavored than rootbeer, and has a little teeny bite to it.

Has anyone tried chocolate ice cream mixed with ginger ale? It sounds gross, but it's really good! It's like the oppisite of a root beer float. It's a "taolf reeb toor"!

Not only colas, but all kinds of pop as well, such as Sprite or root beer.

Oh yeah, I grabbed some Arizona lemon iced tea at the grocery store the other day... damn good stuff :)
