No point just holding wires in place, they need to be soldered, then the system turned on.

As to the video and sound issues, these are all addressed in the stickies; assuming of course you aren't trying to do RBG with a PAL N64, which of course you won't see any images as PAL is only composite.

Provide pics and illustrations of what you did and the issue you have and we might be able to help you...

Well, the sound and video were all working fine until the backlight stopped working.
As for soldering the wire in place, I might do that tonight, as well as posting pics.

I am short of time though, as my prelims have started, and I have to study :(

I'll see what I can do
