To get back on topic, I would like to get a ds, but they're kinda expensive, so I'll probably wait and see if theres a price drop.

I have nothing against the ds. I have a long lived hate of nintendo because of the gba. I bought a color a couple months before the gba came out. then the gba sp came out so if i get a ds im waiting to see an SP version if you know what i mean

well....did you read the news and notice that the gba was coming out a few months later?
I didn't get a gba untill around a year or 2 after it was released, and didn't ever buy the gbasp. Big hands plus super small handhelds(aka gbasp)=bad playing expierences....
