I'm almost done with this beast, all that's left to be done is paint it. Pics in first post.
I'm just going to ignore the seam, it's fine.

I haven't measured, but I'm pretty sure it's about 2/3 of the cart will stick out. But I like it that way.

It is already nearly 2 inches thick, so I didn't want to add a rear cart slot like people usually do.

I think I'm going to name this thing "Ninty64"

Not ninety, ninty, with an i sound as in "indigo"

I was just saying nintendo 64 trying to think of names for it while I was working on it and it just rolled off my tongue. I like it.

I've come up with a new name, I'll tell you when I'm done.

During the insertion process, it appears I've fried my screen.

However, I was able to get my memory/rumble pak working.

I'll have to get a new screen now. Maybe in about a week I'll have the new update.

I do have a question though.

Can I use the screen with a different board, like a new board instead of having to led mod a new screen.

Alright, memory pak is fixed, battery is working again, av output is working.

And the new screen is ordered and on its way.

I hope I can finish the by the end of the school year, I get extra credit in my digital electronics class for anything I build at home.

Alright I have a hunch why my screen is broken.

Is it possible that doing the brightness mod will fry your screen? Or kill it or something. I did the brightness mod and I was thinking the last time my screen wasn't working was just because the backlight wasn't getting power. So then I realized that it doesn't light up like a gameboy screen, it need's to have a backlight or else you can't really see anything.

So do you think that brightness mod may be what killed it?

Have you jumped the fuse? That worked for me. Also, the brightness mod didn't ruin my screen.

The only thing I've done is cut off the side of the board, but only slightly to make room, is was only ground.

Which means l the only thing that could have happened it a piece of metal shorting something. It doesn't really matter, I just want to make sure I don't do the same thing with the new screen, but it would be awesome if I could fix this one.
