Well, i'm not smooth with the ladies and not good at making friends. :( Most of the time I keep to myself play the gutair. I am alone and not acseped as who I really am... On one hand I am fun energetic and make a lot of jokes. On the other hand feel secluded upset and all alone... My heart is full of cuts, false hope, anger, and fear. My life is molded with pain. I can rely on music beause it is the only time I can really express my true feelings...

Life is broken-winged bird

Welcome to my world. I don't have too many friends, but the ones I have are great. I've known one of them for 8 or 9 years, even.

Edit: and my fear of the ladies from middle school has carried on... and I'm a Junior in high school  But I'm trying to work on that. To quote a band that I like in one of their songs,

I can post the whole thing if anyone is interested. The funny thing is, I was at their concert last night and all the ladies love that song and were all singing it...

in response to Gutitar Slinger 89's post, I'm kinda like that too. Sometimes I'll be feeling very social, making jokes, talking a lot, and other times, I'll just be shut in my room (or in my basement, where portable building occurs.....) and I'll just stay there, alone....I also use music to ecpress how I feel. sometimes I'll just keeping playing the same thing over and over again, with slight variation, but if it expresses my mood and feelings, I won't mind the same melodies, chord progressions, stuff like that.....anyways, yeah feeling secluded will usually suck, but sometimes I knida like it. not having too deal with anything else, just being in your own little world. it's great to just escape for awhile...

in response to spongebuell's post, I also only have a few good friends. I can make friends pretty easily, as I am usually someone who everyone can like (generally...) but only every once in awhile will I make a friend who will stay my friend for awhile.

Edit: I just noticed, the last 46 replies of this topic have all been today...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Why social isolation, is there a trend here? As far as I can see it the only thing that is keeping me (and most of you too) is the fact were shy. I know it I dont talk to new poeple that much when I first meet them. I know I can talk to girls I just dont know how to go past the point of friends.

True. I am SUPER shy around the opposite gender, and am just different from the other guys. That's how it has always been.

I know what is meant be seclusion in a basement with the same music playing over and over. I do that too, every single day. My favorite choices are 80s and Japanese Rock, which can be suprisingly similar, and video game midis/remixes. I've been known to listen to ProtoMan's theme for HOURS.

I've had plenty of time to hone my computer and electronics skills though. ^^

And yes, social isolation is a trend. It can be two things though. It means:

1. The person is hiding from a society he is scared of...

2. The person is making a formal message to society that it can kiss his *** and he can survive without it in its current form, effectively abandoning what he sees as a faulty society.

For the first 10 years of my life, it was #1 for me. For the past 9, it has been #2, though I am starting to come out of my shell in my college years, since college society is much more forgiving of nerds. Heck, being a nerd is COOL here! Doesn't get me any ladies, but still, I'm happier. ^^

Ok this is almost desturbing, I thought the way I spent hour infront of my computer listining to anime music, south park episodes, castlevania SOTN midis and tv was original and unique. Now its almost sad.

Anyways the thing I've found is if your still uncomfotable around girls do the simplist and most pleasing thing for them, listin to them. Dont talk much until your alright with it, and you'll be in and more comfortable.

As we can tell from your aim name :P
Yeah, I like Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, and Grave Digger, but that doesn't mean I can't listen to trance and techno too! I just don't really like rap or country :)
