I got remote desktop working on one of the PCs I have admin access to, and it's in the classroom I'm in when we use the library for research. It works great, like I'm sitting right at the other PC!
And I mount that computer's C drive as the remote Z drive on the school's library compy, so I can copy files in between the two easily. No more limited-arse library XP installs for me! All I need is a Virtual Private Network and a little patience for tweaking the connection options for potimum speed. (Someimes I turn everything on, somethimes I turn off wallaper and other such stuff.)
