the only time ive seen such a similar flash chip, is on my GBA Ez-Flash card.
you may be able to reflash that chip, but look forward to a lot of work.

A CVS Red One-Time-Use Digital Camera!
I modded mine to use a USB cable and it has a 16MB flash memory built in.once you do some minor surgery you can upload/download flash images to the camera (flash chip.)
Go to http://camerahacks.10.forumer.com and check out the Howto section in PV2 section. Read the legal hack. Get a CVS camera. You're set!
