http://www.avalanchestudios.org/wiki/

Just learned how to install it and get it working, still trying to get the main page all organized. What would be the best way to organize the sections? By console? or by... like Tutorials, Pinouts, Finished Portables, etc?

I'm new to this wiki managing thing, so if you know more than me, educate me.

Sure, I'd be glad to :D

Also, the people that I've talked to on their IRC chat are great people, very nice and very helpful. The other guy that works on GP32 Theatre, Sam Fisher, was talking to one of the owners and said what his site was about, and he even submitted a video!

That looks promising, Doofus. :D

I think the best way to set it up is to type the title (such as "PSone Screen backlight modification" or "Atari 2600 4-switch") into the search bar, and then edit the page it brings you to. (At least that's how it was done on the Kingdom of Loathing Visual Wiki) It seems to make it easier to search for, and find, information.

Yeah, that seems simple enough, but it looks like I have to manually edit the front page to link to all these continuing contributions. I figured out that you can visit the Category sections, and I made the Category:NES, SNES, N64 etc, but I have no idea how this system is supposed to work, or how we should organize it.

I've browsed Wiki's before, but never organized one. D:

I think it could be a good idea. I suppose I could set threads to auto lock after 6 months of no new posts....
actually, it looks like phpbb only allows me to auto delete old topics.. :(

I'm not a big fan of auto-locking or auto deleting, because a thread may have a legit reason for being back up. As for auto deleting, some threads have good information in it, and it would be a shame to lose.

Ahh I though we were going to back up these old threads. I know, I know we dont want to loss something big. Like in the case of the old forum the way the LPC was formed, but it would make this simpler if we had an archive and a recent site for stuff. Hell really Doomportables is the beginning of the whole idea, we're just trying to take it one step further.
