Still, they would be able to have much bigger worlds, and more realistic textures, and lots of other stuff, if they had a couple Gigabytes.dragonhead wrote:actually, no they have only as much as they need. see, all they need is enough for the game. the reason PCs need so much ram is that they need to run both the operating system and thegame, but consoles dont have the operating system middle man, so they dont need as much ram.
the original xbox had only 64mb ram, and look at the power it had.
I'd have to agree 100% with that statement.soundwave wrote:I'm betting you don't know what MTV is. I'll tell you, its crap, they don't know what theyre doing, and it's probably the biggest waste of airspace imaginable.

I guess with 256mb that makes running linux more possible, right now on the Xbox you're best option is XDSL. Not failing to mention that I'm suprised the console is water-cooled. Has Microsoft really not learned their lesson about making the box good for ventalation?
And finally just a I must agree that MTV has sold its sole to make money, I might not be as hard if I got MTV2 for free (dont have it anyways) but when you put on shows and annoying people all day its going to drive away people *cough* G4/TechTV *cough*

well technically, viacom is a publically traded company, so it has a legal obligation to the stockholders to make money, so mtv did not sell their soul, they just wanted to obey the law. still suck though, trl is about 5 minutes crappy music, and 55 minutes of hilary duff talking about her new movie. DAMN YOU HILARY DUFF!!!!
I havent watched more than 5 minutes of MTV (Viva La Bam, Jackass, and maybe some others are occasionally exempt, but havent watched them in atleast a year) . I havent watched a full episode of TRL since like 5th grade, im not in 10th.
