It's a nice browser, less stuff going on. I'm missing my Firefox add-ons, as well as this text-box thing is annoying. I like the in-depth source viewing, though. It's really nice to see how a page should render by looking at its source

You don't need more then 256mb to surf the web

yea if you want to just browse the web and only one website at a time, this isnt 1998 anymore

i have a p4 1.5ghz desktop running windows 2000 and running firefox 2, trillian and windows messenger pushes my computer to its limits, firefox usually is occupying about half of my physical ram by itsself! on my other desktop (XP, p4 2.5ghz and 2gb ram) ive had firefox 2 using almost 900mb of ram BY ITSSELF

also to reiterate on my previous statement WHERE IS THE WINDOWS 2000 SUPPORT! everybody will say "chrome doesnt have the memory problems" or "firefox 3 fixed the memory leaks from FF2" thats lovely TOO BAD I CANT USE THEM ON 2/3 OF MY HOME COMPUTERS

i run windows 2000 on my lower end boxes for obvious reasons (its smaller than xp and faster on slow pcs) so i cant use any of the new browsers and several other programs because support for 2k is GONE

Update: With this method you can download Chrome but not working it seems

i dont want to have to freaking hack my browser to download something that doesnt even work anyway.

Triton, if you want another browser on your Windows 2000 machines, download Opera. It's much better than Google's stripped-down Google Docs wrapper.

(Plus the newest version still runs on 2000, no hacks or anything.)

ive used opera and frankly i dont like it much at all. i DO like firefox but the massive memory leaks tend to make using it on slower systems painful

Pretty cool, love how it pulled in Firefox links and passwords effortlessly (the days of browser installs assuming you only have IE must be over)

Bookmark management is lame, instead of a simple BOOKMARK icon, like home or back, you have to add that whole bookmark line.

Very fast though! If they had a simple BOOKMARKS pulldown icon without adding a second line I'd be sold.

Will you just shut the hell up, You have now said this three times! What are a child that has to repeat everything because no one is listening to you. If you haven't got anything nice to day don't say it at all!

On the lighter side, Thank for all you other comments guys. Just to say I'm enjoying using chrome and will do as I've got quite used to it now!

By the by, when contacted about what Killjoy is saying, Google's reply is that they are working on repealing that section of the User Agreement.
