I think this will happen: A bunch of ugly people will discover how to live a bit longer, and they will sell thier life extending potion to the world, however, its side effect makes everyone ugly. So ugly that no mating will take place, even in the dark with chef's magical pleasure paper bag. Everyone will live a long ugly life, then die of old age. No killings or accidents will ever happen because no one will want to leave there house.

Or batman will run around the docks with a bomb.
