My dad is/was a Pinball guy, hes always been a bar goer( (read alacholic) I remember being dirt poor growing up and having a 13" B&W zenith Tv and my dad brought home an Atari 2600 My mom was sooooooo Mad LOL
as I grew up we remained poor, I got my N.E.S. about the time when most of my peers were getting S.N.E.S's I had just one game SMB and duck hunt for over a year (Wow my child hood was depressing) I didn't mind I was allowed to play for one hour a day (we had finally up graded to a 27" color T.V. at this point but still it was the only T.V. in the house so I got one hour of N.E.S.) I remember several times waking up in the middle of the night to my dad yelling and laughing trying to play Duck hunt. by the time I was a senior in High school I was working full time and bought a PS I gave my dad my snes mini and he still plays it to this day, he loves Pin ball games an the Donkey Kong country series, and he will sit and play Revolution X for hours upon hours. so yes my Parents game...at least my dad any way. and well hell Im a Dad now myself With two boys 9 and 4. and I dont seeme stopping any time soon. sorry to ramble on so..

my mom never even tried to play a video game (that I can remember) and always kind of disliked them and still thinks they are just for kids (SO WRONG). My dad used to play NES and Super NES, he even bought Top Gun: Second Mission, Bill Elliot's Nascar Driver, Turn and Burn: No Fly Zone, and Super Battletank 2 for himself and I would complain because he was hogging my console. He also used to play a lot of flight simulators on the computer. Nowadays he doesn't really play anymore, I think he, like many people, just didn't want to learn the controls for the newer, more complicated systems, though he did play Ace Combat ?4? (I bought it for $10 and I played it like once, I don't even dislike it, I just never was in the mood) for a while and played Gran Turismo 3 for like, a day.

My dad bought a 360 when they first came out. It still hasn't died yet.

you should probably get it replaced anyway, they won't offer free replacements forever, I don't think you have to have the ring of death to get the warranty repair either.

yeah, "Back when computers weren't boxes, or things you can put in your pocket. Back when I was in the army, computers were rooms, and walls" according to my grandpa. He's computer savvy though. He jumped right onto the internet when it came out. Sold this one domain recently for $20,000!

Plus, he can spell vaccum!

except he spells it "v-a-c-u-u-m" because the word is vacuum, not vaccum, lol! I'm guessing you are referring to the vacuum tubes on early computers, yes?

Seriously? 3 posts within 20 minutes of eachother? And two of them only a minute apart? There's an edit button for a reason bud... we don't take to kindly to triple posts in these here parts... especially when the contents of said posts are redundant and could easily be contained in one.

Anyway, to add to the discussion, my parents are definitely not gamers in the slightest. The most they play is about 24% through Slow Ride on easy difficulty on GHIII Then they fail.

Actually I'm not really a gamer myself. I myself don't own a game system that I regularly play except for my DS, and the only time I actually play games is when I go over to a buddy's to hang out or when I have nothing else to do at home (at which time I play through a few songs on GHIII Wii). I've kind of lost my interest in actually playing the games over the years. I enjoy making the game more. When it comes to portables, I think I'd actually have more fun building the thing than actually playing it. Hmm, I said "actually" too many times in that paragraph...
