Back to serious discussion, I like the idea of changing titles around but I am totally opposed to giving misbehaving forum members a special title at all. Even if they're a spammer or a jerk or whatever, it's a bad idea to give them a title for it. Why reward them?
Edit: How about "screw awesome" Turbo?
I think it should be at the 5 portables and up mark.
Double Edit: D'oh - out of curiosity I checked my ranking in terms of posts, and I'm at spot 71! Even cennar beats me!

I really think that systems that are based on post numbers are flawed. It, in a way, encourages spamming and useless posts like "first", "lol", "Wow, that is so cool", &c... It's really annoying having to wade through all that muck when it happens to get to the meat of a thread. Well, that's my 2 cents, back to lurking.
Hey guys, we can adjust the posts required for the "Senior Member" title, and currently it's the only one that goes by post count the others are special. To make more custom titles and put them to one or two people (max), is really a waste of time and energy. I wont argue against a change in names for titles, but still there are nearly 100 people that have custom titles, that's a lot of work for anyone to do.
Custom titles are not a good probability for those of you that want one. If you really want a good title, you members can work on a new title system. If it's past then just work to get yourselves to that title you want or work to stay at it if you're going to have it already.
No cheating on posts. Posts should be quality, not quantity!

I think, people who are active on the forum, or not even that active, but don't make any project or be useful contributers shouldn't get any title at all, most posting on this forum are trivial and unrelated to modding or hacking, especially in Forum 42 - all it does is pump up their posting number.iam7805 wrote:I will now propose my title system that I've been working on:
Standard titles:
0-1 posts: Lurker
2-19 posts: New Member
20-199 posts: Established Member
200-1999 posts: Enthusiast
2000+ posts: Expert
4000+ posts: Custom Title
These titles will override the standard titles (except custom):
1-2 portables made: Portabalizer
3+ portables made: Portablizer Extraordinaire
User has made cool projects not portable related: Hacker
User has a lot of knowledge but has not done any projects: Helpful Member
User is annoying/breaks rules often: Poop egress
And of course the Mod/Admin titles:
Administrator
Moderator
Tell me what you think. Feel free to criticize it, I'll use your comments to help make it better and hopefully the Management will adopt it.

The only titles which I think should be on this benHeck forum should be Portablizer, Portablizer Extraodinaire, Helpful Member (someone who doesn't make portables per-sey but has lots of knowledge to share, eg electronics); Moderator and Administrator. It can't be right that "Senior Member" is given to someone just because they have been in the forum for 2 years or whatever. This is a hacking and modding portabling site after all. Hey, I am 41 years old, that age on this forum is also "senior" (well, old anyway- I think I am the oldest member here!). I remember the first Pong home system; I had one when it first came out!!
