I'm sorry to say that there is no way I will have an N64 portable done in two weeks. However, it will be fun to discuss stuff with everyone and to show off some of my finished portables.

Well, the 94 is coming- I don't play it really, so I'd be happy to get rid of it and get something I will play with. As for my metal slug... that get's a few hours every weekend practically. One reason my projects fall behind. So I don't think I'll trade it. But I will bring it and we can play it. If Sparkfist doesn't have his CMVS done by then I can bring mine.

I'll be staying on site at the resort and might be able to take some time on Sunday. Actually, me and two buddies split the cost of a room at the Olympia. For $95 it comes to around $32 a guy, which is a nice price.

@Triton: if you want to pick up Metal Slug on the cheap, check around at www.neo-geo.com/forums. There are guys who sell those kind of thing for good prices and who can guarantee you won't be getting a bootleg. Keep in mind they can seem a bit unfriendly, especially compared to around here, and they want you to have "been around" for a bit before you can buy or sell, but generally they are a pretty good bunch.

@Sparkfist: my Puzzle Bobble cartridge is kinda wonky (and a bootleg) and has sound issues. If you think you can fix it I'll let it go for cheap. Very very cheap.

Besides Twister?

With many people presumbably bringing their own creations, perhaps we could organize a sort of show-and-tell style discussion of a project we've done or are working on.

Or someone with Photoshop skills can come up with a game board for a Benheck Forums edition of Monopoly or Risk or something...

Edit: Also, a lot of the people who cannot attend MGC want to know what's going on, so perhaps we could set up something live for them to enjoy (video, audio, pictures, etc).

Here's what we should come up with:

1) Schedule for both days of possible show & tells, Q&A's, specific modding demonstrations.

2) Using the list of confirmed forum members going, set up a basic "table manning" schedule, probably at least 2 people being there at all time. Table manners can be modding/etc so it's not like you're just sitting there.

As far as stuff we can do, here's some suggestions I have:

a) Buy stuff at the show, MOD IT at the show

b) Complete/work on your existing projects

c) Prolific modders bring a laptop, have it run a slideshow of their projects

It's 2 weeks away, so let's get crackin!
