Can you even call yourself a hacker? I mean...part of being a hacker is other people recognizing your skill and experience and calling you a hacker. Lots of people can SAY they're a hacker, but aren't. I know several posers with little skill and crackers with mis-used skill who wrongly call themselves hackers.
In any case, getting back on topic, the PCMCIA parallel port/PSX connector is excellent. I considering doing the mod, but got a controller just as nice that was USB, so haven't just yet....though using the old PSX controller seems more tempting every day. ^^
