here is the story. my best friend had a DS, he thought it was the most awesome thing ever. he had mario 64 DS for it. he was completely anti PSP, about a week after the PSP came out he played the one that his other friend, that I don't know personally, has. the next day he sold his DS his GBA SP and all of his games and took money out of his savings account all just to buy a psp. that is how awesome the psp is.
I just recently bought my psp and it is awesome. what you should do is buy the $300 PSP gigapack which comes with a 1 gig memory stick, because in the long run that is a better deal.
PSP rules DS is ok. Im not saying that the DS is bad, it just isn't great.
the psp is a much better deal for the money because it has so many more features.

This is my oppinion that the DS is better if you want to play mp3's and stuff just buy a gp2x instead of a psp.

i totally agree with you man. get a ds and buy gp2x. so you don't have to take your whole savings account and sell everything in your house.

good for you, ds is cool, for those that argue that the psp giga pack is a great deal for the money HAHAHAHA 300$(plus tax) for a game system and a 1gb memcard and a carringcase? my gp2x with free carringcase= 204 after shipping and tax 1gb sd card online 53$ inclugind shipping total 257$ never having to buy any games PRICELESS, there will be paid game but will be few and far between, and very cheap (10$ or less prob) yea the psp is nice and shiny with a bit ole lcd but the gp2x lcd is almost as big and as good as (if not better) as the psps. the 2x cant do the same high end 3d gfx as the psp (no hardware 3d support, all software mebe n64 or slightly better gfx quality on native games) but for the price you get ALL the other functionality (2x can do all the psp can minus UMDs and high end 3d stuff, and wifi at the moment) i have to admit the gp2x isnt perfect but hell if it isnt damn good. i love the DS too, might get one when i get a job

Id rather have a PSP becasue im a gadget kinda person, i prefer something that can play games, music, movies and make toast (come on sony you know you want to make a portable toaster  ). but its not just that.

When i had a go on my friends DS out all his games (of which he has 10 i think) i wanted to play one of them, only one and that happened to be the demo of metroid prime hunters.

Have you read this before? It seems a lot of people compare the PSP to toast. ;)

cennar wrote:I cant even bother to post futher on this topic, wile those freaks who prase the sony over loards dont get is this is not another gameboy and the playstations never had any good games just a lot of boring ones that evened out. wile nintendo has always made some of the best games ive played and i cant think of one inovation sony made( if any one says any thing about CD systems there was so many out before that and CDs realy suck compared to cartrages and flash cards) they have no games any one wants to buy its always about how they hipe the systems.. like the odd game they have only on sony that could and sould be on the other consoles, but they still dont add up to the great nintendo games. and i wont dispute that nintendo did poorly on the game cube and could not make any NEW games for the Snes portable Aka the gba with less buttons. but the DS promises way more than the pspOFcrap ever could

now for the rest of the thread i will compare a peace of toast instead of the sony thingy peace of crap.

now on to toast well its smaller and wider needs no battrys and is bacwards compatable with older forms of butter. it can come right out of
the toaster and does not have a screen or buttons. the bread companys say it will be compatable with any new forms of spreadable materal
and could be modifled to use as in dips soup chili and other forms of chunky things

Image

now the DS on the other hand has many features that i would consider better than toast. for one the inovative dual screen feature, a such screen interface, flash cart input, wifi internet/shortrange wirless for multiplayer, Compatable with gameboy gameboycolor and GBA games.
its thin compact and does not have the load time that toast has and can come in many color varyations.

I would pick the DS over toast if some one was to give me the choice.
but as the DS is going to be out in the fall... ill settle for toast for now.
but when that DS comes out im composing that sucker and getting my hands on the real thing!
