It's always the same questions... "can i use a gamegear screen???" and "wear can i get a hip gear screen"... *sigh.

Doomportables's domain registration expired and it still isn't renewed.

Look at the member list. About 1/3 of them haven't posted.

Yeah i use to be very into the portable thing and was 1 of the main guys in terms of helping and making crap.

but the fact that LCD's wern't and still arn't available in australia made me basiclly stop my projects

I still have half finished how-to's on all the game systems i made which i never got time to finish.

Least ben's book is a how-to so thats all good

Anyway, I told abbibi that the site is expiring. literally. I was able to get his phone number thanks to a whois search, and called him up. He's now doing what he can, but his hosting service is being really slow

yep, there are a bunch of newbies out there now. Unfortunately, we've lost the friendliness we used to have, and the place is becoming the next GP32X

... which is what caused the wave of knockoff forums (mine, FDSMAN's, etc...) which got people mad.

We have started to lose the friendliness.

I've only been here a couple months and even I have noticed a decline in niceness and a rise in n00bness.

I propose we make a FAQ announcement in EVERY thread, with all the questions like "can aq gamegear screen work with a xbox" answered in it. (and maybe purge the 3.5 pages of no-post n00bs.)
