yeah im getting that mobo.
Thats the same mobo that I have... and mine is a 2.4ghz AMD Athlon, and runs games flawlessly (which I keep bragging about)

don't get an ati based vid card if you plan on running linux, those things are even more of a pain to setup than nvidia cards, and have buggy drivers for tyhe newer models, go with a geforce fx 6800gt ultra if you can afford it, if you can't, pick up a geforce fx 5700 ultra or the 5900 ultra, the ultra's arew better because they have 10gbs memory bandwidth, instead of the standard 6.4

I've never had any problems with ati or nvidea cards under linux.
ATI card slots (you know, the old ones before PCI) on the other hand are a pain

I said the drivers are buggy, try playing anything gpu intensive, and the display usually messes up.
