Meh, I was never good at that stuff. If you actually go for it, put "Support from internets" on the resume.ShockSlayer wrote:Or maybe a detective...gamecube6 wrote:I know exactly why.ShockSlayer wrote:Defense attorney.

Naw, me and my friend have been considering it for quite a few years. The games just make it all the more awesome.

Sorry, but the whole job as an attorney is not that great. I wanted to be a lawyer when I was younger, until I learned it involved massive amounts of knowledge on cases that don't even apply to 99% of modern courts.
Now computer science, there's something where everything you learn has a real-world application![/careerbash]

Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

Hey, someone needs to do it.totokan wrote:Sorry, but the whole job as an attorney is not that great. I wanted to be a lawyer when I was younger, until I learned it involved massive amounts of knowledge on cases that don't even apply to 99% of modern courts.

EDIT: Yeah, debate. you will not get anywhere as a lawyer without it.
Actually, that's the great thing about it. If less people go to law school, there will be less lawyers to file the massive amounts of frivolous lawsuits going on nowadays.gamecube6 wrote:Hey, someone needs to do it.totokan wrote:Sorry, but the whole job as an attorney is not that great. and the more people go to jail because they can't be proven innocent by a good lawyer.totokan wrote:Actually, that's the great thing about it. You can't win this argument. Lawyers are needed.
EDIT:
LIES! You are on the internet. The entire thing is an idiotic case.I swear I won't take an idiotic case!

Anyway, I want to (in no particular order):
Go to college.
Graduate college.
Have a wife/family.
Get off my lazy butt and finally make an N64p.
Keep in touch with my current high school friends.
Modify a house and attempt to make it as low electricity consumption as possible (solar panels, LED lamps, stupidly efficient stuff, etc.)
Build the crazy media server I've been dreaming about for awhile, with HTPC clients and streaming BD remuxes.
Win the game.

I just meant if less of the people who obviously just want to make loads of money as a lawyer and don't particularly care who they hurt in the process (seriously, a large amount of the frivolous suits come from these people) weren't getting jobs in that field, people looking to sue somebody for some asinine reason wouldn't be able to find a lawyer willing to take the case. Er... This is way off-topic, I'll stop here...gamecube6 wrote: and the more people go to jail because they can't be proven innocent by a good lawyer.

@SS: I'm not nicer now, you just do less things to incur angry replies

Let's see, I will be 25 so I guess the usual things.
University: mechanical or electrical engineer (well that is the idea)
Girlfriend/wife: obviously (I have liked the same girl since grade 4 so I am hoping that will keep going (except for university). Now I just need to grow the balls to ask her out. (this school year).
Kids: I love kids but mabye in a few years.
Start playing the sax again and mabye join a ska band.
Become a decent wood worker.
Portablize a new system.
Build An electric car and bike (1-2years)
Get in shape I'm getting pretty damn lazy lately.
Stay living in Canada (I love our winters)
Speak fluent Spanish (been doing it for 5 years)
Snorkel or go scuba diving.
Have a decent amount of cash.
Have at least 3 projects going at once. (so far so good)
Obviously stillmake some portables.
