Sounds fun, but...
How would I get my street renamed after me in a day? (I'm SO buying this book)On day 295, propose to a complete stranger. On day 181, get your street renamed after you. On day 16, discreetly give the finger to everyone you meet. Other days encourage self-crucifixion, currency manipulation, and writing to dictators.
Unusual and hilarious. The perfect gift for the guy or girl who has everything!
Could always somehow make a street sign and stick it over the proper street sign. I'm tempted to do it myself and best of all, my street is so quiet no one would notice for ages
How crazy is crazy btw? Like clone yourself crazy or build a really big elastic band gun crazy? BTW, does anyone know a good trigger mechanism for an elastic band gun?

Kurt, you should fly to my house in sunny California. Hang out for a week or so.
I'm interested in making a Theremin now.
Just start building something and refuse to tell anyone what it is tell it is done.
Has to be huge though. (bigger then the hueg xbox!)
CTfan has a good idea, maybe you should be a philosopher and wear a toga.

After I get my G2 (the license that lets me dive alone), I will gladly visit for a few days. Now THAT'S an adventure. I've never been to California. I know it's packed, I believe the population of California is greater than that of Canada, and I find Toronto packed...
G2 won't be until later in the summer though, and even then I'm not sure if a rental agency would like my little-to-no driving record.
But good news! Next year if I don't have classes I'm coming to MGC. My uncle has been in and out of my grandmas the last few weeks, and he's cool with me staying there the night (maybe even for the duration of the trip). He lives just outside of Chicago, so assuming I can pay for the flight and a rental car, or just the gas on my own (depends on how things turn out), I'll come.
Also, I'm buying that book on eBay right now. It sounds like an amusing read, even if I can't get a street named after me. Man, I could write like that.
I visited my grandparents today, and apparently carving things gets good money (The suggested pricing for professional pieces is $50 for an hour of work). Assuming I work 5 times as slow to produce an equivalent piece, that's still better than I'm getting right now. So I'm giving soapstone a shot.

Man, I know I know, double-post.
But I need ideas. I am going to start a blog on that book I ordered for $15 just now. How will I document it? How will I film myself? Is audio only okay sometimes too?
I do not swim. I am capable of it, but I do not. I'd love to do some travelling, but the problem is money. I have no money.

If you intend on selling any of those PM meKurt_ wrote:I have an accordian![]()
In fact, my family has lots of things. Several guitars (4 electric, 1 acoustic, 1 12 string acoustic), a drum set, an acordian, a violin, a pan flute, a single little drum (bongo drum?), a recorder (at least 1), an upright piano, keyboard, a bass guitar...and I think that's it.
(I don't admit to playing many of these often/at all)
Tonight my crazy idea is shaving.
EDIT:
Make Thermalite (I got instructions if you need). Then have a blast

So...here's what I've got lined up. (Not in any particular order)
Tomorrow I apply at a bakery.
Build a theremin (My grandpa is looking forward to this).
Carve soapstone/wood and sell on eBay (If all goes well this could be my job!
)
Make a blog that documents...
Do everything in the book I ordered when it arrives.
And one of these days, finish my Mr. Saturn bobblehead. It turned out great, I've just completed it 85% then forgot about it, like my family tends to do.
Sorry for ignoring some posts. I just lack the mental capacity to reply to all in one coherent post.

Um... didn't you already do one of these threads?
It's still on the first page...
Do what I'm gonna do; start a computer repair/teaching company. Nothing major. Just something to get you some extra cash. Print up some fliers and post them around town. Elaborating...
Example: What I mean is going to computer-illiterate people's houses that are complaining about their computer getting slow, install Spybot S&D or something and clean it up... then charge them $50 for it.
Example: Someone got a horrible virus and they can't boot up their OS, but all of their important files are on the HDD (and still intact). Make sure you always have a Linux LiveCD with you so you can boot their PC up into an operational environment, and fix whatever you have to fix. For really bad cases, always make sure you have an external drive with you so you can back-up all their files, format their HDD, reinstall their OS and put their files back on the drive. That will take you a while, so you can get some serious cash from it... even though it's easy.
Example: Maybe they have a bad stick of RAM, a HDD that makes grinding noises and is starting to corrupt their files, a blown PSU, ect. Well, after you diagnose it and find out what they need, tell them you can order the new part and install it for them... for an additional fee. While you're at it, you can offer them an upgrade on the part too! Say they've got a faulty 80GB HDD. Tell them that when you replace it, you can also upgrade to a larger drive... for an additional fee.
Same goes for RAM. OR maybe, there's nothing wrong with their computer, but they just want an upgrade. Make sure you put something on your flier along the lines of, "Thinking about getting a brand new computer? Don't throw your old one out, just upgrade it! Call (555) 555-5555!" Or whatever.
Example: Some 70-year-old grandmother just got a computer so they can Email their grandkids... but they're 70-year-old grandmothers and don't have an effing clue how to use a computer... This is where you come in. How easy would it be to teach someone how to open Internet Explorer and sign up for a Yahoo! account?
If you come across a problem you can't fix, just point them in the direction of a repair shop and don't charge them for your visit. It's a bit of a loss, but at least you don't look like an @$$ 'cause you're like, "Yeah, I've go no idea what the **** you did to this thing, but this is beyond help. That'll be $100."
