It really doesn't cost that much for the awesome stuff Batman has.

Batman pisses all over Spider-Man. This isn't even a contest!

The original Batman movie (with Keaton and Nicholson) and Batman Begins wipe the floor with ANY of the Spider-Man movies.

The Batman character is far more interesting than Spider-Man or any other superhero for that matter. The films (and the comics for that matter) get more into the psychology of the Batman character which to me gives him that something extra the others lack.

The great thing about Batman is that he is every bit as screwed up in the head as his enemies are. He just happens to be on the side of good, but he has the all the issues with the murder of his parents driving him. It messed him up enough that he created an alter ego that he assumes the identity of to run around Gotham City at night dressed up as a bat in order to fight crime.

Now if that isn't just messed up enough to be fascinating I don't know what is! :D

Far more interesting than a guy that gets bit by a spider and shoots crap out of his wrists anyway. Or has mechanical webshooters if you prefer the comic version...

They're my two favourites, but Bat Man has cool stuff, bat gas and stuff.

Batman does NOT win!

Spiderman's a Nerd! Like many of us!
Batman's just a deranged guy with lots of money. Without his money he'd be your ordinary crook. And the bad guys are lame. Pengiun? Riddler? Joker?

"Stop, Batman, I want to destroy this city for no apparent reason! You'll never escape my funny jokes!"

Spiderman's bad guys are (although scientifically horrifying) better, each with a unique power that makes you say "It'd be cool if I could do that!"
When was the last time you wanted to be a fat balding penguin?

Also, I must say, I'm watching who wants to be a millionaire, and She's asking the audience on the question "In Feb 2006, Stephen Harper succeeded Paul Martin as the prime minister of what country? "Britain, France, Germany, or Canada?"

Are you guys (Non-Canadians) really that bad that you can't even name our Prime minister? Yours is Bush!
Hey, sup?

Indeed! Batman is so lame, and is the stereotypical "super"-hero. Spider-Man can climb, swing AND get straight A's! :P

What do you call his web shooters? Are they not gadgets?

The movie (and I think maybe a couple of non-canon one-shot comics) are the only places where they are anything other than something he invented, wears, and has to refill and repair.

Can you name for me the Presidents of Costa Rica, South Korea, and Liberia?

Of course you know the President of the United States. Whether you agree with him or not, he's constantly all over international news. Your Prime Minister-- not so much.

If Spiderman is so smart, why can't he balance school, work, and saving people? And Batman could be almost as cool as he is without his money, like when he left for 7 years.

Spiderman is more realistic!!! Villians attacking at any givin moment. Batman...they attack on a schedule according to mr. wayne's to-do list.

Without money, batman would NOT exist and that is what keeps him alive.

Spidy all the way!!! 8)

What about the Batcave, that would be worth loadss, and his veichle colletion, cars, planes, boats, subs and possibly spaceship? That would cost a lot.

See straight A's, Mary Jane as a fiance, Steady job as a photographer, and saving everyone in every comic book in the end.

Wait a second, how many people get super powers from being bit by mutant spiders? Then, compare that to how many people in the world have $10+ million. Theres a big difference. So being extremely strong and rich are a lot more "realistic".
