That would be really loud to drive. Even better would be putting 3 jet engines into the back of a truck

Yeah, all I could do today was look at the cars that drove by and think about what would happen if they were rocket-ified. Then a bus drove past....

Apparently you can make your own jet engine for cheap using on old truck turbocharger or some-such. You can find plans all over eBay and google.

Still, none of this compares to the famous "external combustion engine"

external combustion engine is simply any engine where the fuel is burned outside the engine lol, like a steam engine, and no its not a ramjet those only work at very high speeds, my engine is a "Lockwood-Hiller valveless pulsejet"

i actualy do wish more cars had external combustion engines, steam powered cars pwn, are about as fuel efficient as regular cars (close to 20mpg on almost any kind of fuel and that was in 1920!) dont produce any real bad pollution and have a TON of power. ive read about some stanly steam cars that could do wheelies becasue they had so much torque, and these cars weighed a few tons.

lol the only engines that used coal were the trains, most steam cars used natural gas or fuel oil. do some research! stanley and doble and white were the best the http://ghlin2.greenhills.net/~apatter/doble.html

I read all about steam cars after you mentioned them. It didn't tell anything much about their actual fuel, just that they were quasai-cool and faded out quick.

Used in this context, however, "external combustion engine" refers more to strapping explosives to your back. It's a joke. Not an in-joke or a joke related to any specific spoof of any specific information repository- just a plain, ordinary, perfectly common joke.

You're going to continue refering to steam engines as external combustion engines for weeks now just to prove some kind of point, aren't you.
