What's with all the Nintendo bashing? So, maybe Nintendo of Japan took precedence over the marketing divison of NOA but who cares. If the games use the controller in even a most rudimentary way it will still be quite interesting. And with Miyamoto spearheading the design, I don't think it will fail. Miyamoto hasn't failed us yet. (And don't you cry Virtual Boy, that's Gumpei Yokoi's fault!)

You know, if the games are worth playing, I don't give a crap what the name is. It's a freaking name.

I think speculating on something we do not know enough about is stupid and pointless. I will say no more.

I gotta say, I'd like to see the Wii're Online feature announced. Considering DS Wi-Fi, that actually might be the most likely "secret"...assuming they have games that'll aptly use that feature.

FINALLY! Thank you marshall! Miyamoto's genious won't let Nintendo die. The only bone I have to pick with that post is the criticism of Gumpei Yokoi. The man was a genious, and it's not HIS fault that Nintendo didn't throw him the extra money to make more colors than just red. Plus, his tragic and untimely death made hell for us all. Rest in peace, Yokoi-San.

Great generic shooters then, that game has a great storyline if you scan all the stuff! And a completly different control style.

You know what would be cool. Say a online game on the ds and wii that are exactly the same. And when you go online they can play against each other. Like wii to ds online but then like the graphics of the ds are just a little bit less. Anyone understand :?:

Hmm a Nintendo secret....

maybe a NEW first party game with an entirly NEW character (and i dont mean another character out of one of the existing nintendo-verses see: Waluigi)

However there is one thing i will say about the whole "innovation is lost" idea, there is only so much that can be done, it was easy to innovate back when not much had been done or you wer elimited by hardware, now people are habing to search ever increasingly harder to be "innovative" i mean just look at the Wii's controller. just because it might turn out ot be a failure doesnt mean its not innovative

also its almost impossible to create an entire new genre of games (which would be innovative). However that is one thing the Wii will be good for, testing new things, it may fail but even if it does we will learn domehting from it, if the comapnies are willing to put the time and effort to come up wit hsome new idea (im talking to you nintendo, no more mario party games, i mean it!)

What I've heard:
The Wii can be a wifi access point for the DS.

What I want:
Easy-to-use online stuff with the Wii and lotsalotsa Wii-DS interconnectivity.

What I bet won't happen:
A name change.
