I got my N64 at a rather weird way :) . I was bout 9-10 and PS2 just came out, and since I already got full marks on all my stuff and got a coughscholarshipcough, they thought, why not give him a PS2. But I'm not sure what came over me, I was playing the Onimusha demo, and I was very skeptical, then all of a sudden, I said I wanted an N64...whether I was stupid or not, I had fun with it :) Seemed better than Onimusha at least, and I was nine, but maybe my parents were happy not to spend 300 dollars more. :P

Good story. Just goes to show that just because something is "old" doesn't mean that it isn't still good.

I got a PSone for christmas when PS2 came out. I used to always play N64 at my friends house, then about a year or two ago I got an N64 at a garage sale for 5 bucks with 2 controllers (no games).
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

You have no idea of the sheer number of times I have seen that.

On the other hand, let me describe the experience of me getting my first N64…

I saw it on eBay, so I checked with my parents and bought it for $15. It arrived awhile later. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, and popped in a game. About a week after getting it, I took it apart, ripped off the expansion pak slot, and now it sits next to me as a model for measurement before I open my second.
