Being primarily a Mac user, I'd never used anti-virus of any sort until I built a computer a couple months ago. I figured I should probably get something to protect Vista, but I didn't really want to pay for it... Which led me to Malwarebytes. There's a free version that's somewhat feature-limited, but it's easily adequate for me. I think the premium version has automated stuff, etc. I run it every couple days, it finds something every couple weeks, and that's about it. All in all, I've been pretty impressed, and I've had no problems at all! (btw, I've tried using Norton before, and it's total bullsh!t, it's a processor hog, and it would more often flag my own files than real viruses

)
On a different note... I work at Subway, on cash register. I know I shouldn't expect much from society, but seriously, people are just dumber than a bag of hammers... Here's an example:
*Customer approaches end of line, their sandwich is handed to me, already wrapped, so I don't know what kind it is*
Me: "What kind of sandwich do you have sir?"
Customer: "It's a 5 dollar footlong"
Me: "What
kind of sandwich is it?"
Customer: "I just told you, it's a five dollar footlong"
Me: "What is on the sandwich?"
Customer: "Why does it matter? They're all five dollar, right?"
Me: "I just need to know for inventory, sir."
At this point, one of two things happen:
Option A-
Customer: "Ohh, it's a turkey sandwich"
Me: "That'll be $5.48, have a nice day"
Option B-
Customer: "Ohhh, well it's a Philly Cheese Steak"
Me: "That's not part of the five dollar footlong promotion, that'll be $9.84"
*Customer is appalled at the notion that they didn't read the HUGE sign at the beginning of the line that informs them that the Philly and the Feast are excluded from the promotion, and then proceeds to walk out the door, leaving their ten dollar heart attack on the counter*
The outlook of human intelligence is quite scary...
