He's a person who "makes" lots of pointless guides, and then makes a new one that says the same things. He posts a lot in the handhelds forum. He lies a lot about the mods he's done.

oh. i hate plagiarizm.(sp?) i had put a video up on youtube about the secret easter egg in ocarina of time(the pictures in the castle) and it's got around 300,000 views on an old youtube account of me, and someone had linked to it, saying he made it, and he was getting all the credit. it really pisses me off when i put something on youtube kind of popular, and i don't get the credit

-update-
i've got some great news towards the portable
i've 100% completely solved my annoying power issue.
itching to use my dremel again and to find a better way of testing my n64, i cleanly cut off the power plug, and sanded down the plastic so i could clearly see the pins. i soldered wires to the pins and then soldered the wires onto the n64 board, to the power supply wouldn't be lifting the board up at a weird angle. i plugged it all in, and to my surprise, the n64 didn't work. almost knocked back by the thought of frying my n64, stalling the project further, i got out my multimeter, and tested everything when it was on.
12 volt line:11.51 volts. so far so good.
3.3 volt line: 2.734 volts. there's my problem
there wasn't anything wrong with my power supply, power regulator(s), or my wiring, but the wires themselves were causing all of the trouble. how can i prove this? the wires i am using are about the same gauge as a regulator universal power adapter, but the amperage is always around 500milliamps. if you ever noticed how well labeled the board is, the power supply is the same way. it shows the pinouts for power. for the 12 volt line: 12 volts .8 amps. that explains why i never had any problems with the 12 volt line; the wire was rated for that kind of power.
for the 3.3 volt line, a whopping 2.7 amps.
the wires i used couldn't get 3.3 volts at 2.7 amps through without decreasing the amps, and ultimately decreasing the voltage
i'm completely out of money, so i have no way of testing this idea until next weekend. any thoughts towards my diagnosis?

Could be, but the 3.3v line definitely doesn't draw 2.7A. My powersupply puts out 2.2A, and I know that is probably double what it actually draws. Mario has the actual figures.

Define: n64 not working
most devices work within a +/- %20 of the stated power, play around with different setups, eg jumper paks, games, tv', and try giving the cart slot/cart/expansion a bit of a clean ( a good bj always works)
If not try a new/different 3.3v regulator

the n64 works. it works with the original power supply, and there is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY REGULATOR. the n64 works perfectly, and there isn't anything wrong with the jumper pak, or the cartridge slot, or anything alse. i have diagnosed EVERYTHING POSSIBLE WITH IT, and there isn't anything wrong with it except the power supply, which i have been stating over and over and over again to people that never backed up to read earlier posts. READ THEM BEFORE POSTING

well I would highly doubt the wires, I'm now using IDE wires for my power and works like a breeze,
and btw Trying to read your last informative post, it is a bit confusing
itching to use my dremel again and to find a better way of testing my n64, i cleanly cut off the power plug, and sanded down the plastic so i could clearly see the pins. i soldered wires to the pins and then soldered the wires onto the n64 board, to the power supply wouldn't be lifting the board up at a weird angle. i plugged it all in, and to my surprise, the n64 didn't work. almost knocked back by the thought of frying my n64, stalling the project further, i got out my multimeter, and tested everything when it was on.
I think i might get it now, after multiple re-reads, is that TO i've put in bold supposed to be a so? if so it makes a bit more sense

and when you say that your n64 didn't work, did you get a flicker on the screen as you turn it on, does the power light go on etc... and dont mean to be picky but when you say you've diagnosed everything possbile have you at least gone through the guide on how to definitley test the n64, or have you tried resetting your n64 power supply?

and one more thing, people have gotten the n64's working only using a 1 amp 3.3v regulator on the 3.3v line, I'll even dig up the subject if you like,

yah, i do have trouble making sense sometimes, but the same wire i used (which was telephone wire) for power was the same i used for relocating the power plug due to testing issues. i know the 3.3 volt line doesn't draw 2.7 amps, but the power source puts out 2.7 amps. the wires can't get enough power through. i thought it might be my power source, but since i got the same issue with my power plug, it has to be the wire.

Did you try doubling up the wire on high-amperage lines?

I'm not sure doubling telephone wire is still going to let enough current pass through. That stuff is awfully small to be used for power lines.

Someone tell him that doubling (or tripling) up on wires is totally safe so we can get an update.

Triple up on the wires! Just go for it! It's not going to hurt anything, it's fine. You can at least do that to test with while you try to get thicker wires.
