I wonder what would happen if you could travel the exactly at same speed as the earths rotation (so many miles per hour, I couldn't say for sure) but in the opposite direction...

You'd occupy the same place relative to the earths core in space and everything would be moving fast you at twice the speed which the world is rotating.
