3 psp questions

PSP= waste of perfectly good $. Buy gp2x, needs no mods to work on TV, already has an 80% working SNES, made for hombrew as opposed to forced away from it. Also, it's cheaper (189.99)

Yes, but I love the games on the psp, Im too young to really appreciate the SNES games (my first system was a psone, cause my parentd thought video games were evil), and the psp has internet. Though I am into some hacks, Im not really all that in to the whole homebrew games and stuff. Also the PSP looks cool er in my opinion.

why dont you sell it and buy a gp2x? You could very easily get $200 for it, unless its broken or something.

I love my PSP

.....to tell you the truth, it's a great emulation machine

!! of course, the GP2X is better, since it's got AV output and can play a variety of media files (and was made for emulation, really), but the PSP is great, too

LOL. But they were right in a way. Before I had my psone, I played basketball and football outside constantly, and used to watch PBS and nova, since we dont have cable. I was really by far the smartest kid in my class, whether it was by being one of the oldest, or not watching tv, I dont know.They thought I would become a couch potato, like most of the kids in my class who had video games. I still do stuff outside, but I think my grades would be a little better if I didnt watch so much TV and video games. However, I am much happier now so, yo win some you lose some.

i had this big arguement with my soccer team (they all said i should get a PSP cause i said i wanted a DS) and one of them is like "the PSP is selling better everywhere" and im like "no its not, its beating PSP's ass in japan, america and europe" he says "youre a retard, PSP isnt realeased in europe!"

so yeah, i think PSP is a waste of money.

actually, it's a very nice little portable......definitely not a waste of money, unless it's broken when you buy it

.......why would you think it's a waste of money? if you get a 1.5 or a 2.0 psp, you can have games, emulation (best part

), movies, and music (though you probably won't use it for music much....or movies, too). the bad part is that for the rest of that stuff, you gotta get a 512MB or a 1GB memory stick duo, but I believe it's worth it

the reason i think its a waste of money is because i already have an ipod, so i dont need another mp3 player, the games arent really my taste (dont really like sports and driving games) and internet play is important to me.

buying the psp for emulation is a waste of money because the gp2x will be able to just as much (or more) easier thant he psp for about 50$ less

Do the games take up a ton of space on the memory card? From my experience of console gaming, I could easily save about 10 different games on an 8mb card. Also, about how long a movie would a 512mb card hold?

How can you surf the web(with firmware v2.0), without a keyboard? how can you type in a url?
I think I may try to make the PSP like a computer. I need an adventure in my life, and ince it has nver done before (or so I think) Im going to try it. I wanted to get more in depth in programming, because I have done some basic things, but nothing like this.
If I do this, it wont affect my gaming will it? Also, will it take up a ton of space on my memory card to have all these applications?
