portable tv screen help

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Yes, I agree but someone who has little electornics experience might be better off starting out simpler.

I'm just saying, decman, if you run into problems while doing this project then don't feel bad, it's definitely not easy. Just keep reading and searching and eventually you'll figure it out.

what i've done:
1. got battery
2. got/fixed screen
3. modded N64 case
4. fried a controller
5. cut off EXP slot
6. got RCA jacks and switches
7. figured out all the wiring and stuff

what i have to do:
1. LED mod screen
2. get DC-DC convertor
3. get 3rd pary controller and split it
4. finish cutting new heatsinks
5. get expantion pack
6. get shoe-goo to put together the case
7. maybe eventually relocate cart slot

sounds familiar, I've fried 2 controllers, one I cut off too much of the PCB, the other I accidentally shorted across the leads of my 12v test battery.

Gonna get a boomerang if I can find one.

thanx 4 all the posts and help. im not compleatly new at the world of portablising, i have made a portable ps1 with a mate (we broke it tho but it worked 4 a while) i have solderd and we have a work shop at school that i use a lot, i have a plan for makin it and i have everything except a screen and a case but i can get them. im making it in a card board box first then im gunna make a case. ill update you with pics when it all comes together so look out in the ps2/xbox and gamecube section for my pics
