I was going to try to cram a Psone screen into a Game Gear (using Gamelver's hack away mod), and remove the screen protector thing (so you could see the whole screen). But oh well.
Thanks for saving me from making a big mistake!!!

As for the screen, I took off the game gear screen protector and its still small. You would really need to hack away and make some alterations, but it still might look good.

:::Quick Little Update:::

Here is what has been added recently to myGENp:

Image

Red button (start)
Black button (reset/menu)

I decided to place the buttons there in the end because for my big sexy hands, that fits the best, and it is easy to reach as well.

Image

Wiring is almost done for the controller board. If I am not mistaken, I think that the 3.3v is going straight into the main board and nothing else really will connect to it. If you know if I am doing this wrong, PLEASE STOP ME BEFORE THIS BLOWS UP!!!

So Johny...tell everyone whats behind door number 3!!!

*Johny* Why, it's the lovely control board! The sexy beast fits PERFECTLY into the battery compartment of the GameGear and closes up nicely. It's out of the way too (besides, how mush do you think I'll be using these buttons?).

That's all I have for now...gotta wait for my HipGear screens to arrive (got 2 on ebay). Once finished, Then it's time to bring in the video!

::EDIT::
I just relized a lot of spelling mistakes...I'm tired! =( I was at a concert saturday, and today I got up early for church and was out most of the day.

Honestly, I did not cut any part of the radica motherboard at all. It is all still the same size. The only part cut is the controller which is hiding in the OTHER battery compartment :wink: .

Still waiting on my radica screens.

Nooooo...silly!

As for the controller...the 3.3v wire, is it connected to anything on the buttons? or is it just getting power from the main board?

My screen came in finally...I immediatly went to work with it. And BOOM!!! I had video!!! I am very happy here. I now have the screen, and the system attached to one power switch, tested it out, now it works beautifully!

I started working on the controller now...need to test the system with a controller. Once I have that going, it is off to the FINAL test...cartridge slot.

SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP EXPLAIN THE PINOUT TO ME FOR THE RADICA. IT IS VERY CONFUSING AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS BEING CONNECTED HERE!!!!!

Pretty basic, so, first pin from the left on the cartridge slot is say A1, then hold GOAC upright, and find A1 via chart on the chip, and solder it to there. Basically connect the pins. :) . Tried it worked, but I had the power wired wrong, so after a week, I smelled smoke, then the battery fell out with black burns allll over it. :(

That's my problem though...not all of the pins are the same. If that is the case, then the pin that doesn't match up to anything on the GOAC will stay wireless?
