looks like your gonna need to put a cd or dvd rom on that thing for temp and get drivers off of it...usually when they dont have drivers like that theyre trying to say they are on the disc

are you trying to get sound from the CD? there's an audio plug on the CD drive that you're supposed to connect to the same audio plug on the sound card

If you literally mean a "Sound card", ie an expansion card, then

1. Uninstall the drivers
2. Shut down the comp, open it up and move the sound card to a different PCI slot.
3. Close 'er up, boot it up, and install the latest version of the drivers.

Hey, it worked on my dad's old Dell Optiplex GX1...

Try uninstalling the drives for the sound card, reset, reinstall them and they should work. Reinstall with the drivers from the site. Even onboard stuff require drives. You can't take it off, but uninstalling can help clear up the situation.

If it's still not working: When did it last work? Did you install anything new on your PC (hardware/software)? You are getting some beeps, mainly AIM only, but nothing else...perhaps you can have a virus? Just some thoughts...
