yeah but have you seen a pocket tv? those only get 1/2 channels with good reception, and most of the shows on it arent very good. I see your point about DVDs, and how tv would be better, but you might want to find a way to get something good on that screen.
Honestly, for the amount of money you would spend turning a PSOne screen into a portable TV, you would be better off getting a "low end" Handheld like an iPAQ ot Dell Axim, and use that to just play all your favorite shows, movies, music and more. Even if you just buy a portable TV, those are usualy the same price as a "low end" Handheld...
Well, an active-matrix pocket TV costs $150 or more, but if you're looking for a cheap alternative, a passive-matrix TV works great, especially the better ones. Those can be had for $30 to $50 in a pinch.
