Tis true. But don't worry, they'll probably let you play the original version, too.

Why do they have to screw up perfectly good games? Kids today have to be entertained with fancy, flashy graphics. I practically never play anything newer than Genesis/SNES and sometimes PSX. It's not about how fancy the graphics are, it's about how much fun the games are to play.
Plus they're going to fix bugs in the game, like the one that lets Mario jump over the tall pirana pipes in world 4-1. Man with that bug I can clear the level really quickly.
Why can't they just leave well enough alone?

Its not about how many dimensions you have, its about how you use them.
Ignignokt: You and your third dimension.
Frylock: What about it?
Ignignokt: Oh, nothing, it's cute. We have five.
Err: ...Th, Thousand.
Ignignokt: Yes, five thousand.
Err: Don't question it!
Frylock: Oh, yeah? Well, I only see two.
Ignignokt: Well, that sounds like a personal problem.

Not really they said that hey would have rubbing technology in them so they probably will have touch sensors on them but they could make a cool vmu type thing that plugs in with a touch screen so that you could play some snes and nes games on it and use it as an intergral part of there controller that would be so cool! btw if nintendo decides to use this Idea I want full vredit for it tmarley17@gmail.com LOL
