Yes - definitely. The thing is it sometimes works, then othertimes does not. I'm just completely lost.

I've found what seems to be a fix - I noticed it mostly stopped working when I wiggled around the ribbon cable so I took off the cable and checked it out. I put electric tape over the entire area of the board that the ribbon cable rests on, thinking maybe some traces were touching it, and now it works - maybe that was it, but whatever the case, it works pretty well now. The screen is very blue though, and I don't remember it being like that when it worked earlier. I guess I'll have to see how it looks with the SNES feed plugged in.

That's odd, because the insulator on the ribbon cable shouldn't be conductive.
