And he also had to live to the next movie! If he got shoved in the lava, episode IV would make no sense!gannon wrote:yeah, but once all your limbs are gone and you're bodies on fire there's not much chance

i thought it was a damn good movie, one of the best i have seen in quite a while but the "new ottumwa 8 theatre" that just opened totally pissed me off! i used to go to the capri V which was an awesome theatre and a landmark around town and it never EVER had the kind of crap this theatre had!, the had to stop the movie 5 times because they were having focus problems, all of wich happened in the first 5-10 min of the movie and pre movie stuff, took 15 min to fix that and through the WHOLE movie there was a blank spot on the left of the screen, i dont think the focus problem was ever completely gon but i got to watch the whole movie anyway. the seats were comfy at least (could hardly be said for the old capri but that place was literally antique) gen. grevious was awesome and so was the yoda/sidious fight!

personally, i thought it was a pretty terrible movie, of value only for the near-orgasmic geek content. it was far too focused on setting up the events of episode four and not focused enough on wrapping up its own stories.

I remember at the old theatre in town (which is now a 3.50 old-movie theatre), the film guy spilt soda on the film reel, everyone in the theatre got free movie passes.Triton wrote:i thought it was a damn good movie, one of the best i have seen in quite a while but the "new ottumwa 8 theatre" that just opened totally pissed me off! i used to go to the capri V which was an awesome theatre and a landmark around town and it never EVER had the kind of crap this theatre had!, the had to stop the movie 5 times because they were having focus problems, all of wich happened in the first 5-10 min of the movie and pre movie stuff, took 15 min to fix that and through the WHOLE movie there was a blank spot on the left of the screen, i dont think the focus problem was ever completely gon but i got to watch the whole movie anyway. the seats were comfy at least (could hardly be said for the old capri but that place was literally antique) gen. grevious was awesome and so was the yoda/sidious fight!
