The D-Pad is required for my favourite N64 game sadly enough :( So it can't take a hike (unless I can convert D-Pad into Analog stick, which probably is possible as some guy managed to convert Playstation D-Pad on a Dual Shock pad so the inputs were converted to Analog Stick, so D-Pad games could be played with Analog Stick)
Just cut off the D-Pad, and move it to where the analog is then.
