I used to play in HS. Back in the days of the Mirage, Ice Age, and Fourth Edition. When the guys graduated and went on to college, military, jobs, marriages, etc., I didn't have anyone to play with, so I gout out of it. The only other TCGs I tried were LOTR, X-Files (too complicated for most gamers in my area), Quest for the Holy Grail, and some werewolf game, but the game store closed, so there's no place to play anymore.

Too bad. I still have all my LOTR and QftHG cards. I think the X-Files ones got tossed, though. And I had like four Kryceks, two Scullys, three Mulders, and seven or eight Skinners.

He's totally right about Magic being a really social game, and you don't have to be a complete nerd to play it. HOWEVER... there are some really weird people who play. If you've ever been to a tournament you know what I'm talking about. I quit playing because lorwyn, morningtide, eventide, and shadowmoor aren't type 2 in like a month ><.
