I thought that in your video the sound was slightly higher pitched... so now I know I'm not crazy yet!ShockSlayer wrote:Two or three things I would like to mention to you:
As far as powering the cube off of 7.2v, you need to take into account what Skyone measured since the 12v line controls the audio, with 5v a cube may sound awful, but with 7.2v it may sound fine.

Re: Gamecube Portable
yes, thats true man, one of my cubes died some time ago due I trusted at the original colors, btw I learned the lessonShockSlayer wrote:For some strange reason the red and black wires in between the little board that has the fan plugged into it and the power board don't necessarily connect to 12v and gnd, in fact, they can be the exact opposite! Strange how it works, but make sure to test it with your multimeter, its another one of those luck of the draw things, I've had cubes that had right polarity, and cubes that didn't.
Keep that in mind!

Im going also to include this at my gcp guide, quoting SS text and credit him
Re:Z's Gamecube Portable
Well, my Rev C cube magically came back to life. So forget Rev A, I'm going to use my smaller board!
Because of the problem I had with my 7808, I was wondering, couldn't I just feed 5v directly into the psone screen from the 5v line on the cube's motherboard? I would just solder a wire from the 5v line on the gamecube to the 5v output on the psone's regulator. I think it should work, I just want some advice before I waste my screen.
EDIT: Sigh... that would be a no. The lcd itself needs 7.2 ish volts so it gets the signal from the source. I think I might just stare at the two electronics until they work. Getting to work soon...

Satan does not have a low pitched voice, stupid. Everybody knows he has a high one; Here, I made a pic so you know him when you see him:Basement_Modder wrote: He edited the pitch in that video. Didn't you notice the satan-deep voice?
