Why are you selling it?

I found an MSN clone that can do mobile. aMSN. Runs on Mac, Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, and Tarball (Source only).

Can the n810 do that?

Can pidgin work with MSN? The N810 has that.

I am selling it because frankly, I do not need it. I had an N800, then an ipod touch, then an N810, and am now going back to a touch, so I am not biased at all. The N810 is an awesome device, but if I want something open source to play around with, I will be getting a SmartQ 5 MID. If I want an easy to use (albeit crippled) device, I will use a touch.

I will also be honest: I thought the hardware keyboard would be cool, but then I remembered I suck at thumb typing. I might actually get an n800, since it has the dpad on the face, rather than the slide out portion. Sounds like a small deal, but I used that dpad to scroll down web pages, and moving it to a place made for two handed texting made it hard for my to use. :(

i have one that has a dead backlight. i got it from my dad. (he is an engineer, and he has his own company  ) he used it in a project for some company, and just replaced when the backlight died. it runs windows ce, and needs a 24volt power supply.

I'm using pidgin and I can see my friend on his phone, so it'll do the same on an n8x0 with pidgin. I'm selling my n800 if you want it, ~$150.

If you're set on a pocket pc, your best options are the Dell Axim x50v and x51v. My brother has a x50v that I've upgraded to windows mobile 6, its ok. Battery life isn't much better than the n8x0 (I think its worse with the stock battery).
