No, you can't. Read my earlier posts. The N64 cartridge mask ROMs are NOT compatible with standard eeproms. You will need external decoding logic to make them work.
Also, EPROM - erasable using a UV lamp (they have a small window).
EEPROM - electrically erasable (usually by applying -12v on the older ones, most newer ones use more sane voltages)

I know this is an old thread, but.... could you sort of piggy back to eeproms? like connect 2 together to double the memory, and keep the functional to read 1 file?
